Netpresenter is Cyber Essentials Certified
Following an independent assessment by SEIGUR, a certification body licensed by IASME, Netpresenter has been certified under the UK Government’s Cyber Essentials scheme. The certificate was issued on 3 September 2026 and covers our whole organization. It confirms that, at the time of assessment, the basic controls protecting our network, devices, and data met the requirements of the scheme. It also builds on the ISO 27001:2022 certification we announced in July 2025.
What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a certification scheme developed by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and delivered by IASME, the NCSC’s official Cyber Essentials Delivery Partner. It’s aligned to the UK Government’s minimum baseline standard for cybersecurity and is designed to help protect organizations against the most common cyber attacks. Most of those attacks aren’t sophisticated: they’re opportunistic attempts to find a door someone forgot to lock. To get certified, an organization has to show it has 5 technical controls in place: firewalls, secure configuration, security update management, user access control, and malware protection. A certification body licensed by IASME then assesses whether the organization meets those requirements, and the certificate has to be renewed every year.
What does this mean for your organization?
As a provider of employee and emergency communication software, Netpresenter is part of your supply chain. A growing number of organizations ask their suppliers to prove they’ve got the basics of cybersecurity covered, and some won’t work with a supplier without that proof. Our Cyber Essentials certificate is that proof, assessed against a standard developed by the NCSC.
Specifically, this means for your organization:
- Security across our whole organization: The certification’s scope is all of Netpresenter, so the 5 controls apply to all of our own teams, devices, and networks.
- Faster supplier assessments: When your procurement, IT, or security team reviews us as a supplier, they can check our Cyber Essentials certificate themselves in IASME’s certificate search.
- Controls that are checked every year: Cyber Essentials has to be renewed annually, so these controls are due to be assessed again by 3 September 2027.
