Are you passionate, hands-on, idealistic, and self-directed? Are you familiar with and actively involved in European funded initiatives, ideally in relation to law enforcement, justice, or fundamental rights? Do you know how to excite people about one common goal: saving missing children? Are you ambitious, persistent, diplomatic and with a good sense of humor? Then we have a unique and exciting challenge for you!
AMBER Alert Europe is a foundation that assists in saving missing children at risk by connecting law enforcement with other police experts and with the public across Europe. AMBER Alert Europe advocates that one missing child is one too many and aims for zero missing children in Europe. The foundation brings together 41 official organisations, public authorities, and business entities from 25 countries. AMBER Alert Europe also officially facilitates the Police Expert Network on Missing Persons (PEN-MP), the official European missing persons police network, as well as the Task Force on AMBER Alerts.
As Project Proposal Writer for EU funding, you actively create a coherent funding strategy based on AMBER Alert Europe’s and PEN-MP’s strategic plan: the Common European Approach on Missing Children – Missing Persons and the ensuing projects. You manage, coordinate, and lead the search for funding and tender opportunities, as well as prepare the application and justification documentation from initial draft to submission. After submission, you manage the process leading up to the awarding of the grant in cooperation with our partners. Following the awarding, you will lead the project, report milestones, and share the success with our partners.
You are optimistic by nature – believing that with time, energy, smarts, strategy, and sheer will, you can change the world. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to create that change. You have an interest and a good understanding of human rights and children’s rights, as well as the child protection agenda. You know your way around the political circles of Brussels. You have a proven track record of winning proposals, preferably in the area of human rights, justice and law enforcement. You have a proactive mindset and are good at handling periods of highly intense workload. Additionally, you can put your excellent communication skills to use to compile powerful and clear letters, position papers or grant applications, even under pressure.
We were hoping you would be and are (impatiently) awaiting your application!
