- Netpresenter will no longer use halftone optimalisation on NT systems with 65536 colors or less. This would effect image quality.
- For simplicity, all temporary files will now be stored in the store directory (the cache).
- When one prohibits end-users to change the properties, they can no loner select the 'properties' option in context sensitive menu nor toolbar.

- When using file sharing for accessing channels, clients PC's that store the cache on FAT systems and access the original channel from NTFS systems would sometimes renew the cache tool often.

- Fixed the problem that after opening the task tray menu it would not disappear until the user selected an option, instead of disappearing when the user clicked outside the menu.
- Fixed a problem with daylight saving time. The player would constantly update instead of only updating when there was a change in the channel. ( This problem appeared when using FTP or HTTP functionality. )

- New feature. There is a new option called "Select a channel" in the task tray menu that allows the user to switch between channels. This also allows administrators to have multiple channels in which the user can choose, without giving the user the possibility to select other channels then specified.
Build 142, Mar 27, 2003
- Fixed a problem where in combination with fast updates (every minute) the players would sometimes appear to keep files locked too long. The effect was that the Editor would sometimes not be able to update a file. A possible explanation of the problem is that the server would keep it locked on the assumption that the client would reopen the file soon. This problem existed since the first 3.5 beta's but were never reported before. This would occur when using file shares on NT or Novell servers.
- Fixed the fact that the Desktop player would become a background window after having changed any of its properties
- The identity tab of the property pages now also displays version numbers of all modules installed

- It is now easier to correct a wrongly entered channel path in the property dialog. (The dialog will no be longer closed immediately after pressing the 'OK' button.)
- A temporary file is made in the user's temp directory to store information about channels that should popup. The information would be stored using the filename as the section name in a .ini file. Due to the technology used, information of channels that contained brackets in the name (for example index[1].chn) would not be stored correctly. This has been fixed.
- Solved a bug that could cause the player to crash when selecting other channels while it was busy rendering
- The installer now better supports quiet (administrative) installations
- The installer now also supports NT4 with service pack less then 6
Build 141, Mar 18, 2003
- When a channel is updated before a 2nd update interval had expired, the update would fail on channels that were marked read-only
- When running as a background windows, not iconised, the player would not be set to the foreground upon a popup
- When using navigation buttons to branch directly to other slides, the player would sometimes use another slide's buttons
- When player and screen saver are running simultaneously, the screen saver would fail to update dynamically changing images

- The player no longer disappears behind other windows after changing the properties
- MSI installer fixes (Installation would appear to hang on some W9x machines)
Build 140, Mar 11, 2003
- Objects would still be draw after a resize operation
- The initial download, when updating the player, now also occurs as a background operation
- Netpresenter no longer requires a width:height ratio of 4:3
Note: The implication is that one should more often choose images to be displayed 'stretched' whereas with previous players 'center' or 'stretch keep aspect' would also appear well (since the player would force a 4:3 view)
- To navigate to another slide you would sometimes have to click twice on a navigation button
- Changing the option to hide or display a toolbar now has an immediate effect

- Dynamic content would not always update.
- Screensaver was unable to write launch.txt (needed for hyper linking from the screensaver)
- If a user would run the installation without entering a serial code there would de a "bad serial" message.

- The icons in the taskbar notification area have changed completely. The icon now represents a screen. The icons will be animated while downloading, showing a discrete arrow that moves. When a new channel has been downloaded and the player is minimized, the little screen will be animated for 1 minute (the screen icon will become bright in 2 steps). After the animation the little screen icon remains in its brightest state until the user has viewed the channel. An error situation (channel cannot be found) will be indicated with a small red cross in the upper right corner of the icon.
- Toolbar has changed
- File association icon has changed
- The icon that will be shown when viewing a directory with Netplay.exe or Netpresenter.scr using the explorer has been changed. An optimal icon will be displayed for each directory view in the explorer. The same icon will be displayed in the application's caption bar.

Build 136, Feb 4, 2003
- For added security Win9x users that have not yet logged in will no longer be able to start the internet browser from the screen saver. This feature can be controlled by setting the key DoNotBranchWhenNotLoggedIn in the [Player] section of the netpres.ini file. The default setting is 1, i.e. users cannot start the browser from the screen saver when not logged in.
- When resizing the player window while not all delayed objects on a slide where already visible, these delayed objects would appear on the slide being displayed after the resize operation
- When entering a channel that does not exist, the player will now warn with a message box

- Important improvement in application's responsiveness
- When the player runs, the screen saver would not display in the small window of desktop properties (a full-screen preview was no problem)
- The new options for "popup when channel contains high priority slides" and "user cannot close player" have been made available through the property menu (in previous build they were only available by editing the netpres.ini file manually). (Note that these options have been moved from the [PlayerOptions] section to the [Player] section.
- Channels on a local system would sometimes not be displayed correctly
- Build 133 would not complain when the user would enter a non-existing channel
- Backward slashes anywhere in a URL would confuse the player
- Improvements in the installer package :
- support for administrative install.
- .chn files will be associated with the editor.
- Correct installation of the screen saver in the registry.
- The screen saver will end automatically when the monitor is powered down. It will allow workstations to enter reduced power mode, thus reducing energy consumption.
Build 133, Dec 20 2002
- Synchronization issues between player and saver where solved.
- The icons in the taskbar now indicate when a channel had been updated.
Build 129, Dec 9, 2002
- Channels may now be downloaded using HTTP or FTP, which makes Netpresenter much better scalable with respect to the number of clients connected to a central server. One may now use intranet/internet servers for publishing a channel. Just select a channel like "/channel/index.chn".
- Channel downloads now occur in the background (multithreaded).
- When changing the size of the player window, hotspots will keep the proper position relative to the background image.
- Selective popup: The administrator may force the player to popup. (By changing any slide's priority to 10, the player will popup as soon as it has detected an update). For best results you may want to set this high priority slide first in a channel.
- CPU load of player brought down considerably, resulting in smoother image transitions and less strain on the PC.
- Hyperlinks now work correctly on all 32-bit Windows operating systems.
- The administrator player may prevent users from simply exiting the player using the close button.
- Install package uses Microsoft installer technology (msi package).
