Netpresenter anticipates crisis demand and has record profit (188%)
Netpresenter, February the 4th 2003, Maastricht, The Netherlands.

Netpresenter has anticipated the demand after the 9/11 crisis by developing Public Emergency Software, resulting in a profit increase of 188% over 2002.

Netpresenter (www.netpresenter.com), a Dutch software development company specialized in internal communication solutions for multinationals, has increased its profit over 2002 by 188%. The company has also announced a turnover increase of 20%. The year 2002 is the fourth year in a row that Netpresenter maintains steady growth figures.

The basis for this record profit is a new product called Public Emergency Software, which has been developed as a result of the attacks of September 11th. Also newly structured license deals with existing customers, and newly acquired customers (such as Thomas Cook and Canon) have had their impact on Netpresenter’s profit increase.

By transferring an important part of Netpresenter’s R&D department from the United States to the Netherlands, the company has been able to employ more developers for less costs. The company has derived 51% of its turnover outside the Netherlands, of which 21% outside the European Union. As a privately held company, Netpresenter prefers not to publish its detailed financial figures.

“Since September 11th, many companies wanted to use our internal communication software to warn their employees and visitors in the event of an emergency. We anticipated on this demand by developing special Public Emergency Alert software”, says Netpresenter’s CEO Frank Hoen. The software has been up and running for some time now at the Dutch national airport Schiphol, Amsterdam.

Hoen adds: "A growing number of companies are prepared to make substantial investments to improve their internal communication and information. In these uncertain times, Netpresenter has proven to be an effective tool for communication managers who want to beat their company grapevine. You can’t do the job with email and intranet alone.”
