BAM Rail puts communication on the right track |
"Netpresenter the next step in the communication evolution"

In 2006, rail contractor BAM Rail chose Netpresenter software to put its internal communication on the right track. After a contract extension in 2009, employees and visitors are now updated on the latest news using 16 42-inch LCD screens (Digital Signage). |
“Before Netpresenter, we used bulletin boards on all locations. But you have to move with the times; it was time for a modern, multimedial ‘bulletin board’ which looks more organized and is more of an eye-catcher. For us, Netpresenter proved to be that next step in the communication evolution,” says Karin van der Tas-Pennin, Head PR & Communications at BAM Rail.
At first, Netpresenter was rolled out at BAM Rail Services. In 2006 that department went through an reorganization. Van der Tas: “Especially in those instances, it is of critical importance that the internal information provision is timely and current. In those days, we selected Netpresenter because of the favorable pricing, the strong features and because Netpresenter does business worldwide. After this successful test in the Services department, in 2009 we decided to roll out the software in the whole of the organization. This of course meant we had to invest in extra Digital Signage screens, but it was worth it: we can now immediately inform all employees when needed.”
“The response we get to Netpresenter is very positive. Employees feel more informed, more appreciated and regularly make suggestions for news items. Our intranet also has much more visitors since we started using Netpresenter,” she continues. “We also will start using Netpresenter to alert all in case of an emergency. Alerts on all TV screens are a valuable addition to our existing emergency communication.”
